The heart-touching story of online sensation “Courageous Caitie” will be featured in a special episode of the country’s longest-running drama anthology show, Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) on Saturday, June 25, 2016. The little warrior, Caitlin Soleil Lucas touched the hears of every Filipino citizens who witness her struggle over a rare disease.
Veteran Kapamilya stars Shaina Magdayao and JC De Vera will play the role of “Courageous Caitie’s” parents. The young courageous kid suffered from juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia (JML) and passed away late March in Singapore.
Last February the family of Caitlin Soleil Lucas brought her to a reputable hospital in Singapore where she was diagnosed with JML. The happy disposition and unbelievable display of courage by the young kid despite her difficult and painful situation has attached thousand of followers and donors on her Facebook Page.
As part of the promotion in the upcoming episode featuring “Courageous Caitie” her parents encouraged viewers of ABS-CBN not just to cry or inspire but t grow their relationship with God.
The parents of Caitlin posted the following message on Facebook: “That people will not just cry or be inspired but those who would watch will be moved to do something and to practice their faith. To understand grace and to find ways to grow in their relationship with Jesus.”
” It is our deepest desire that those who followed our story will indeed experience a personal relationship and a revival.”
The story of the little warrior caught the attention of netizens as her parents shares her ordeal with the rare form of leukemia, her parents noticed rashes which turned into bruises last December. She was initially misdiagnosed with tuberculosis last January and underwent a series of medication for it but her conditioned only worsened.
