Eric Fructuoso mentioned Claudine Barretto in a recent interview
Actor Eric Fructuoso revealed something about Optimum Star Claudine Barretto in a recent interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.
Eric was one of the 90s heartthrobs in the Philippine entertainment industry. He was known as one of the members of “Gwapings” with actors Jomari Yllana and Mark Anthony Fernandez, and later on, Jao Mapa was added.
Over the years, they did several projects together and also had their individual projects. Years passed, and they continued doing acting stints, except Jao, who found his love for visual arts.
During a recent interview on the afternoon talk show hosted by King of Talk Boy Abunda, Eric Fructuoso mentioned Claudine Barretto. It was because the Optimum Star was his first girlfriend.
Eric clarified the allegation that he was a “babaero.” “Kasi ang daming nagsasabi na babaero, hindi. Hindi ganu’n, mapagbigay lang. Ewan ko, siyempre, bata pa tayo nu’n, ‘di ba?” he said.
The actor also recalled the past relationship he had with celebrities. He had a romantic connection with actress Ara Mina, who was his “puppy love.”
“Very beautiful, very beautiful si Hazel (Ara’s real name). At saka eventually, siyempre, bata pa naman kami nu’n, pero we’re good friends now,” Eric shared.
When Claudine’s photo was shown, Eric confirmed what the actress previously said regarding their relationship. “Ah, ‘yan, sinabi naman niya ‘yan, siya yung first. Close kasi ako sa mga ate niya rin, e. Ako kasi, kapag may girlfriend, mas more on parang kaibigan na barkada. Playful,” he said.
Eric also revealed that he dated former actress Joyce Jimenez, and he loved how frank she was.
On the other hand, Eric clarified that he never had a romantic connection with Abby Viduya, who is the current partner of Jomari Yllana. He also revealed that he had an MU or mutual understanding setup with actress Aubrey Miles.
Along with this revelation about his past relationships, Eric Fructuoso corrected what he previously said about Ultimate Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga. He said in an interview on Sarap, ‘Di Ba? back in 2023 that he had a relationship with Toni.
It is known to many showbiz fans that Toni revealed in several interviews that her now-husband, director Paul Soriano, is her first and last boyfriend. He said that he just had a crush on Toni and that they never had a relationship.
