ABS-CBN artists Ellen Adarna and John Lloyd Cruz left the limelight years ago and lived a simple life together. And as they escaped the glitz and glamour of the show business industry, they were blessed with a son, Elias Modesto, who Ellen gave birth to last 2018. However, although their relationship did not work out, they were able to settle in a co-parenting set-up for the sake of their son.

In terms of her split with the actor, she admitted that one of her mistakes the reason why it has to end is because she projected her unresolved issues in the past at him. Ever since, she open with the fact that her son needs his father s much as he needs him. And in her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, she entertained a question asking her, “Does baby Elias still get to spend time with his dad?”

According to the actress, John Lloyd is a “present father” to their son. She shared that the A-list actor was the one who picks up their son from her for them to bond and also diligent to drop him off to her. Ellen continued. “He wants to be present… [Elias] needs his father as much as he needs me.”

Ellen is currently engaged to hunk actor Derek Ramsay. And to her, the reason why it work for her and Ramsay and not with Lloydie is because of her mental health. With John Lloyd, she admitted that she was a mess. After their split, she went to Bali for a training and after that, she met Ramsay. Her future husband met her in a state where she’s already ready and gotten over with her depression.
