Vice Ganda Reveals Budget Constraints In It’s Showtime Segment

Vice Ganda even reached the point of giving her own money as a jackpot prize.

ABS-CBN star Vice Ganda revealed that It’s Showtime is struggling financially and vowed that they will make it up to the people soon.

The Unkabogable star Vice Ganda said she understands some viewers’ concerns about one of the mini games in Laro Laro Pick on It’s Showtime. In a post on X, the Kapamilya star explained that there are budget limitations but reassured the Madlang People that they are still committed to delivering quality entertainment.

In a post, Vice expressed that she was also not fully satisfied with how the game turned out. She is referring to one of the mini-games in Laro Laro Pick where contestants were asked to raise their hands if they wanted to try singing for a chance to advance to the next round. Some netizens expressed dissatisfaction with the format and offered suggestions for improvement.

She was also unsatisfied but said they would do their best to improve it once the budget allows.

“Alam kong di nyo masyado bet ung ‘taas ng kamay‘ part sa U Gotta Lyric. Di ko din bet yun. Pagpasensyahan nyo na po ang kakulangan namin ngayon sa budget. Bawi kami pag nakaluwag luwag. Sa patawa na lang muna kmi babawi. Love u Madlang People,” she wrote.

In an interview, Vice shared that because of the challenges they faced, there was a time she even used her own money to fund the jackpot prize on It’s Showtime. She said this was her way of helping deserving contestants while still doing her job effectively, even if it meant spending more than what she earned.

“Yung parang nagbibigay rin kasi ng kasiyahan sa akin yun, e. For me to be able to do my job effectively, I need to believe in the project. Secondly, I need to have fun. I need to really like it. I need to be happy doing it. So, pag hindi ako happy, kahit mataas pa yung bayad mo, hindi ko gagawin,” she expressed.
