Police Authorities Arrest 3 Tourists For Using Counterfeit RT-PCR Test Results in Boracay Island
3 tourists from Luzon have been arrested by the police authorities after using fake RT-PCR test results in Boracay Island.
The popular tourist destination Boracay is requiring tourists to submit RT-PCR test results before entering the famous haven in compliance with the government’s health protocol amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Caticlan Provincial Administrator Atty. Selwyn Ibarreta contacted Malay PNP to report that three tourists were able to enter the island using counterfeit RT-PCR test results. The culprits arrived last January 24 and supposed to check out at a hotel on January 28.
The police authorities contacted the hospital wherein the three tourists reported underwent RT-PCR test. The hospital tried to look for the name of the three but found nothing on their records.
The authorities immediately brought the three at an isolation facility in Aklan Training Center for quarantine. The suspects have been arrested last Wednesday (January 27, 2021).

The suspects are now facing charges over violation of Republic Act 11332 or Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Health Concern Act at Falsification of Documents.
