Are these politicians planning to run for President or Vice President in the 2022 elections?
These politicians were asked if they are planning to run for president or vice president in the 2022 elections and here are their answers.
As early as now, several political names have surfaced already for the presidency. Surveys from the Pulse Asia and OCTA Research have been released in line with this.
Philstar’s entertainment columnist Ricky Lo had the chance to ask several politicians if they are planning to run next elections for the position of President. Senator Grace Poe, who is included in the Top Presidential Preference survey said she has no plan for presidency next year.
“I want to concentrate on my work in Manila. I haven’t thought of the 2022 elections,” this is the answer of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno when the columnist asked him about his political plans.
Former senator and now Antique Rep. Loren Legarda jokingly answered, “Galit ka ba sa akin? Naku, noooo!!!” For Batangas Rep. Vilma Santos, her priority now is the arrival of the COVID-19 vaccine in the Philippines and not her political plans in the future.
When Senator Bong Revilla was asked about this, he jokingly said, “Huwag na. The last time I was rumored to be running, nakulong ako, hahaha!!!”
Senate President Tito Sotto also said that he also has no plans to run for a higher position. “I will weigh my options after I have steered the Senate past this pandemic and problems besetting our country. I’m a full-blooded NPC (Nationalist People’s Coalition) member, presently the chairman,” he added.
