Pulse Asia released the recent result of the Presidential Preference Survey
Pulse Asia Research Inc., a public polling body in the Philippines, recently released the result of the Presidential Preference Survey that covered November 23 to December 2.
This survey aimed to determine the preference of many Filipinos when it comes to the politician who they like to be the President after the term of President Rodrigo Duterte.
The recent result from Pulse Asia showed that Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte topped the polling with 26 percent, based on the Twitter post of News 5.
It is quite normal for many, especially the supporters of the President to assume that someone close to him will be his successor. It has been rumored that Mayor Sara will run for President and many people have shown support for this.
The Presidential daughter was followed by former Senator Bongbong Marcos with 14 percent. Until now, the politician from a powerful political clan is still fighting for his “Vice President” position against VP Leni Robredo who got 8 percent in the survey and this gave her the number 6 spot.
On the third spot for the Presidential Preference Survey is Senator Grace Poe who ran last 2016 got 14 percent. She was followed by Manila Mayor Isko Moreno with 12 percent. When Yorme was asked if he will run for a higher position next election, he answered that “only fools do not change their minds”.
Next is Senator Manny Pacquiao with 10 percent. The boxer-turned-politician is one of the popular names who is being associated with the position of President in 2022.
However, he said in an interview that as of the moment, he is not thinking about politics. Also included in the list of names in the Presidential Preference Survey are Sen.Ping Lacson (4 percent), Sen.Bong go (4 percent), Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano (3 percent), Sen. Richard Gordon (0.2 percent), and Antonio Carpio (0.1 percent).
