PAGASA – SWWF, Easterlies To Affect the Philippines This May 27, 2020
PAGASA – Here are the latest updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) this May 27, 2020.
The early morning forecast for the state weather bureau says that the southwesterly windflow (SWWF) will affect Northern Luzon while the easterlies or warm winds from the east will affect Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao on this day.
According to GMA News, the SWWF will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan Valley.
The bureau warned of flash floods or landslides that might occur especially during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the easterlies, as well as localized thunderstorms, will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
As always, the bureau also warned of flash floods or landslides that might occur especially during severe thunderstorms.
As per the report, for the forecast wind speed, Palawan and the entire Visayas will have light to moderate winds that are moving southeastward with slight to moderate coastal waters.
The rest of Luzon will have light to moderate winds that are moving in the southeast to southwest direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
Mindanao will have light to moderate winds that are moving eastward with slight to moderate coastal waters.
The sun has risen at about 5:26 AM and is expected to set at 6:20 PM.
