Dee Dee Villegas Posted An Open Letter For Maxine Medina’s Bashers
Dee Dee Villegas posted an open letter for all the bashers of the Miss Universe 2017, Philippine candidate Maxine Medina.
Maxine Medina is the representative of the Philippines for the Miss Universe 2017. Most Filipinos were expecting too much from Maxine that she could also win the crown on the most prestige international pageant like Pia Wurtzbach, the Filipina Miss Universe of 2015.
Medina has failed to make it to the top 3, there are some netizens who were disappointed and expressed their negative feedback to the Filipina candidate. Netizens also slammed Maxine’s performance on the question and answer portion of the beauty pageant.
Villegas wrote a letter for Maxine’s bashers for bashing the representative of the Philippines to the contest. She supported Maxine despite the result of Miss Universe coronation and said that Medina did a good performance during the contest.
Netizens slam the Filipina candidate for answering the question in English without passing it to the interpreter. Villegas said that Maxine gave her best despite all the bashing and she answered in English because she believed that she can.
Maxine’s answer for the Q&A portion may not turn out well but she gave the best that she can just to make Filipino proud. Villegas said that calling Maxine an “embarrassment, joke, and stupid was not totally fair to her.
Dee Dee also said that people should also have blamed on their selves for dragging down Maxine instead of guiding and encouraging her for the upcoming international pageant. She also said that people should place jokes on the proper situation to avoid hurting other people’s feelings.
She was still proud of Maxine for all her achievements and reaching this point of her life despite all the negativity from other people.
