Ivana Alawi defended her choice to wear what she wants
Kapamilya actress Ivana Alawi stressed that all women deserve respect, no matter what they choose to wear.
Ivana is one of the sultry actresses of her generation. She is confident in showing her curves on social media through her skimpy clothes and swimsuits.
This was one of the reasons why netizens are following her on social media, and would share comments admiring her beauty and fit figure.
However, it is inevitable that some netizens would have negative reactions. Some online users would point out that sharing sultry photos is already too much, and at some point, female personalities showing skin on social media would receive “bastos” comments.
In a recent Facebook post that Ivana Alawi shared, based on the article in Bandera, she stressed that the clothes that women wear should not be the basis of how they should be respected.
“‘Puro ka pas*xy’, ‘Paano hindi babastusin eh tignan mo naman ang suot mo?’ Andaming opinion ng tao about women. Madaming posts patungkol sa damit at dapat sinusuot ng mga babae para sila ay respetuhin. Ang respeto sa babae ay hindi dapat nakabase sa haba ng kanyang pananamit, o kung anong sinusuot niya,” she wrote in her post.
She also said that women should not be judged according to what they wear. For her, the most important thing is the kindness and respect for other people.
“Sa dulo ng araw, mas mahalaga ang kabutihan ng puso, ang respeto sa kapwa, at kung paano mo pinakikitunguhan ang ibang tao. Lahat ng babae ay karapat-dapat respetuhin anuman ang suot, anuman ang hugis ng katawan, anuman ang estado sa buhay,” the Kapamilya actress said.
Ivana Alawi also encouraged her fellow women to wear what they want to wear. “Wear what makes you happy. Be proud of who you are. Love yourself, Hindi damit ang nagdedefine kung sino ka, Character does,” she stressed.
Meanwhile, Ivana’s career continue to bloom. Her most recent project is the series Love Is Never Gone with Kapamilya actor Joshua Garcia. This series is a collaboration between Prime Video, Dreamscape Entertainment, and ABS-CBN Studios.
