Maria Clara at Ibarra heartthrob David Licauco is Ginoong Fidel of the said series. His character is well-loved which led to his immediate rise as an actor. He was the classist Fidel de los Reyes who got viewers thinking about whether to scorn or love him.
His chemistry with actress Barbie Forteza also gained popularity and because of this, after their MCAI series, they were given another project called “Maging Sino Ka Man”, a series adaptation of the classic film.
Joining them in this series are Jean Garcia, Faith da Silva, Rain Matienzo, Mikoy Morales, Juancho Triviño, Jeric Raval, E.R. Ejercito, and Jean Saburit.
And recently, circulating online is his old photo. He looks young, his eyes are more chinky in shape, he’s got long hair, and he wore braces.
Many people were amused and fond of this photo. In a post circulating online, a netizen even posted it with a caption that was referring to his character in his new series. His character’s name is Carding.

Meanwhile, apart from being an actor, Licauco is also a businessman. He is the owner of Kuya Korea, a fast-casual restaurant in the University of the Philippines (UP) Town Center in Quezon City.
He also owns Sobra Cafe, a restaurant that serves Filipino comfort food, and a construction company.
And after his current series, he is planning to get an operation. David has been diagnosed with sleep apnea since he was 16 years old. He believes that sleep is a beautiful gift from God which is why he will be having an operation for his health condition.
