Born on July 31, 1997 in Biñan, Barbie Forteza’s real name is Barbara Ambas Forteza. She is the daughter of a non-showbiz couple Tony Forteza and Imelda Forteza. She is a multi-awarded actress and, aside from acting, she also does commercial modeling and endorsements.
Barbie is currently in a relationship with her fellow Kapuso star, Jak Roberto. Their relationship started as fellow casts of a project until a romantic relationship that continues to inspire a lot of people blossomed between the two (2) Kapuso celebrities.
Barbie Forteza Showbiz Career
One of the earliest roles played by Barbie was as young Jodi in the Kapuso network’s remake of the South Korean television drama series Stairway to Heaven in 2003. She was also part of the TV series First Time where she played the role of Cyndi. Aside from TV series, the young actress was also a part of several films including Tween Academy: Class of 2012 and The Road.
Barbie Forteza top-billed the film Puntod and her portrayal of her character bagged her the 26th PMPC Star Awards for Movies’ “New Movie Actress of the Year” award. She has also released a self-titled album in April 2013 under MCA Records. It included her single, Meron Ba, which was made the theme song for Big, a Koreanovela of the Kapuso network.
