Lady Passenger Slams Tricycle Driver for Allegedly Leaving Without Giving Change
A passenger in Kalibo, Aklan reported a tricycle driver allegedly left without giving the proper change following a ride to a local transport terminal.
On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, a 27-year-old man went to the police station at around 4:31 p.m. to have the incident officially recorded. The complainant said he received a call from his girlfriend’s sibling, who explained what had happened earlier that afternoon.
At around 3:00 p.m., she and her mother reportedly boarded a tricycle from Mission Hospital along Roxas Avenue Extension and traveled to the Ceres Terminal in Barangay Estancia, Kalibo.

Upon arriving at the terminal, the passenger allegedly handed a P200 bill to the tricycle driver for payment for the fare. She then helped her mother get settled in the terminal waiting area before returning to collect the change.
However, when she came back, the tricycle was no longer there. According to her account, the driver had already left the area without returning the remaining amount from the payment.
The passenger reportedly asked other tricycle drivers at the terminal about the usual minimum fare for the route. Based on the information she received, the amount they paid appeared to be much higher than the expected fare, raising concerns that they may not have received the proper change.
Police are now looking into the complaint and working to identify the tricycle driver involved. Authorities said an investigation is ongoing to determine the facts surrounding the incident and to ensure that appropriate action will be taken if necessary.
