Imee Marcos joined the INC rally
Senator Imee Marcos has a new fierce statement against the government with her younger brother as the President.
Sen. Imee and Pres. Bongbong followed in the footsteps of their father, former President Ferdinand Marcos, in politics. However, in a conflict between them. The Senator is an ally of Vice President Sara Duterte, who had a falling out with the President.
To recall, the President and the Vice President were running mates, but due to their differences, their UniTeam is no longer united.

With the falling out, Sen. Imee Marcos chose VP Sara Duterte’s side. With this, their had been instances when the Senator criticized the administration, and her brother personally.
Last year, in her campaign video, Sen. Imee said that the government is not MARCOS. She alleged that the government is being led by Romualdez and Araneta, apparently referring to Cong. Martin Romualdez and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos.
On June 30, 2026, Sen. Imee joined the surprise rally organized by Iglesia ni Cristo, where she spoke against the current administration, based on the report from Balita. In a statement, INC said that the rally was prompted by the impending plunder charges against Sen. Rodante Marcoleta.

She stressed that the government is apathetic towards the marginalized sectors. “Kasuklam-suklam ang gobyernong manhid! Manhid at walang pakialam sa hirap ng ating mga magsasaka at mangingisda, mga sektor na nagpapakain sa atin na halos walang makain. Gobyernong tulog, lasing sa kapangyarihan,” the female senator said.
She also claimed that the government is not hearing the people’s plea. “Wala silang pakialam. [Sa]pagkat itong gobyerno ay bangag,” Sen. Imee Marcos said.
Sen. Imee also questioned his brother’s scheduled official visit to Canada from July 1 to 4. She said that instead of prioritizing relations with other countries, the administration should focus on the problems facing Filipinos, including the high prices of oil and basic commodities.
