Claudine Barretto expressed gratitude to her Home Along Da Riles family
Optimum Star Claudine Barretto said that she is still grieving the passing of her mother, Estrella “Inday” Barretto.
Claudine, as the youngest among the Barretto siblings, had a strong bond with her parents. Five months after the death of their mother, the actress still feels lonely, losing the matriarch of their family.
In a recent interview on the Kapuso afternoon talk show Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the Optimum Star admitted that she misses her mother very much.

She admitted that she is only now feeling the intense sadness of losing loved ones. “I wouldn’t be able na makayanan ang lahat ng ‘to kung wala ang Cosme family, sa totoo lang. There are days na hindi ko talaga kaya,” the actress said.
Her Cosme family was really there for her during those sad times. “Kahit madaling-araw, 24/7 naka-standby ‘yang dalawang ‘yan (sina Boy2 Quizon at Vandolph) and si Maybelyn (dela Cruz, mga nakasama niya sa sitcom na Home Along Da Riles),” Claudine shared.
One of the things she misses about her Mommy Inday was the times she would have conversations with her about her life and career.

“And then you reach for your phone tapos, ‘Ay, wala na pala akong tatawagan.’ Habit. That happens to me all the time,” she shared.
With this, Claudine Barretto gave advice and reminders to all children who are still with their parents until now. The actress said, “Habang may mga magulang kayo, mahalin n’yo ang magulang n’yo, lalo na ang nanay ninyo.” She added that some people do not realize the importance of a mother in the family.
Meanwhile, in the same interview, Claudine Barretto shared an update about her older sister, Gretchen Barretto, who has been away from showbiz for many years now. To recall, Gretchen went through a controversy when her name was dragged into the missing sabungeros issue. Claudine said that Gretchen is doing well and is still beautiful.
