Claudine Barreto expressed admiration for Gretchen Barretto
Optimum Star Claudine Barretto was asked about her older sister, Gretchen Barretto, and here’s what she said.
Claudine and Gretchen’s sisterhood went through a tough time when a conflict arose between them. Fortunately, they were able to patch things up and even got closer.
For many years now, Gretchen has been inactive in showbiz. She was active on social media for a while, where she shared a glimpse of her life behind the camera. However, La Greta decided to leave the online world as well.
In a recent interview on the Kapuso afternoon talk show, Claudine shared how Gretchen is now.
The Optimum Star shared that her older sister is still a queen now. To recall, Gretchen’s name was dragged into the issue of missing sabungeros with the alleged mastermind, businessman Atong Ang.
It can be recalled that in 2025, Gretchen was involved in the issue of the missing sabungeros, where businessman Atong Ang was also implicated.
The former actress personally appeared in the first preliminary investigation of the Department of Justice (DOJ) in September, 2025.
Gretchen also submitted a counter affidavit to the Department of Justice (DOJ), where she maintained that she knew nothing about the disappearance of the sabungeros.
Despite what happened, Claudine said that Gretchen’s birthday even leveled up.
“She is still, of course, the queen. I don’t know how she does it, but she does it really well. That’s what queens are for, right?” Claudine Barretto shared.
Then, King of Talk Boy Abunda asked the actress when the last time she sa Gretchen. Claudine shared that on that day, Gretchen’s butler called her.
“So, tumawag ‘yung butler niya, si Lady J, kumusta ka raw sabi ng ate mo. Sabi ko, ‘with Boy ako mamaya’. Give him my love, ganyan, ganyan. Sobrang mabilis. Alam mo naman, kapag ikaw Boy, kapag si Gretchen, mahal na mahal ka,” the Optimum Star shared.
Claudine also said that she is proud of Gretchen, and Boy should see her older sister now.
