Man Standing at Local Store Loses Motorcycle to Armed Riding-in-Tandem Suspects
A man was left shaken after armed riding-in-tandem suspects stole the motorcycle he was using during a robbery in Binangonan, Rizal.
On early Friday morning (June 12, 2026), the victim was standing at a local store while making a purchase shortly before 1 a.m. along C. Bolado Avenue in Barangay Tatala. At around 12:47 a.m., two men riding a motorcycle approached the area.
The passenger quickly got off their motorcycle and immediately boarded the victim’s parked motorcycle. Moments later, the rider of the suspects’ motorcycle pulled out a firearm and pointed it at the victim, preventing him from taking any action.
Faced with the threat of a gun, the victim had no choice but to step back and allow the suspects to take the motorcycle. The two men then fled the area and disappeared in an unknown direction.
“Pinaandar kasi ng suspek ‘yung motor nu’n. Gusto ko siyang lapitan. Pero ‘pag lapit ko — kasi instinct ko na nu’n, gusto ko na agawin ‘yung motor — gulat ako may baril. So, kumasa, du’n ako hindi lumaban ta’s tinaas ko na lang ‘yung kanang kamay ko,” the victim said.
According to the victim, the motorcycle belonged to a friend and had only been borrowed. He explained that he had left the key in the vehicle because he had been visiting the same store for a long time without experiencing any problems.
The sudden robbery caught him completely by surprise. The victim admitted that his first instinct was to stop the suspects and recover the motorcycle. However, when he moved closer, he saw the firearm and realized the danger of resisting.
Choosing to protect his life, he went back away and allowed the robbers to leave. He also believes that the suspects may have been monitoring his movements before the incident. A friend of the victim shared a similar opinion, saying the robbery appeared to have been carefully planned.

CCTV footage reportedly showed the suspects flashing their motorcycle lights while approaching, leading to suspicions that they were coordinating their actions.
Authorities are now working to identify the suspects and recover the stolen motorcycle. The investigation remains ongoing as police continue to gather evidence and review security camera footage from the area.
