Jonvic Remulla shared this reminder from Pres. Bongbong Marcos
Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla shared the reminder given to him by President Bongbong Marcos regarding “nakaw na pera.”
Remulla has been part of the PBBM’s cabinet since 2024. Before this, his political career was focused on local politics. He previously served as vice governor and as a member of the Cavite Provincial Board. He also served as governor of Cavite in 2019.
Being part of the administration of President Marcos, Remulla is also a subject of attacks, controversies, and issues.
One of the issues that he had to face while serving as an appointed government official was corruption and bribery. He said that there was an attempt to bribe him, but he was not persuaded because of the reminder that President Bongbong Marcos gave to him.
The DILG Secretary had this statement in connection with the attempted bribery done to him, which was said to be worth ₱900 million to ₱1 billion.
In a recent statement, based on the video posted on the official Facebook page of Abante News Online, Remulla shared that PBBM personally reminded him that he cannot feed his children with the stolen money.
“Si Pangulong Bongbong mismo ang nagsabi sa akin, ‘Alam mo, ang pera sa nakaw, hindi mo mapapakain sa anak mo ‘yan. Ang karma lalabas sa mga anak mo,'” Sec. Jonvic Remulla shared.
The DILG Sec. also stressed that he could not take it that he would feed his five children with corruption money.
