Pres. Bongbong Marcos Reveals Order to DOTr amid Soaring Pump Prices in PH
BONGBONG MARCOS – The President decided to suspend the fare hike but vowed support and help for both the transport workers and the commuters.
The ongoing war in the Middle East is not only affecting the countries involved such as Iran, the United States, and Israel. Several other countries including the Philippines are currently faced with soaring oil prices.

Iran previously warned the world to get ready for oil that’s $200 per barrel. The remarks of the officials of the country that was recently hit by America and Israel came amid United States President Donald Trump’s warning of a much harder attack against Iran if it will disrupt the global oil flow.
The war involving the three (3) countries started after U.S. and Israel had joint airstrikes against Iran which led to the death of its Supreme Court. The war is now entering its third week and the pump prices in the Philippines have increased twice already since the tension started.

In fact, even prior to the first bigtime oil price hike due to the Middle East war, countless vehicle owners and transport workers already had their vehicles’ tanks filled up already to avoid a much costly fuel. Pres. Bongbong Marcos assured the Filipinos that no one will be left behind amid the oil problem in the Philippines.
Marcos Jr. assured the people of the government’s help. According to him, the government is already talking to other countries that can provide us with oil supply.

Recently, Pres. Bongbong Marcos announced his decision to suspend the fare hike in the Philippines. Through a video posted on his social media account, the Chief Executive expressed his belief that now is allegedly not the right time to increase fare for the commuters.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos revealed that he has ordered the Department of Transportation to defer the fare hike. According to him, the commuters need the continued support of the government amid the situation.
Meanwhile, Pres. Bongbong Marcos assured that the transport workers have nothing to worry as the government will increase its support for them amid the situation. Based on the video, the Chief Executive also announced that the DOTr will begin the offerings of free rides around the Philippines as well as the discounts in MRT and LRT fares as well as toll fees.
Recently, Pres. Bongbong Marcos claimed that there is no need for hoarding as the country has enough supply of food and petroleum products.
