Previously, ABS-CBN actor Coco Martin confirmed the ending of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” which will be on March 13. He also believed that from the very beginning, he knew he would never surpass the record of “Ang Probinsyano.”
After three years of airing and being consistent as a top-rated show, Tanggol’s story has finally come to an end.
One of the iconic and gripping characters in the story that you will love to hate is Rigor Dimagiba. This is being played by John Estrada, who portrayed it so effectively, and in an interview, he shared his journey in the series.
For Estrada, the role was more than just another acting project—it became a meaningful journey marked by memorable scenes, demanding shoots, and a strong sense of camaraderie with the cast and crew.
“Honestly, ang dami kong hindi makakalimutan,” Estrada shared, and added, “Nasa Navotas kami nun, nasa laylayan talaga. Katabi namin kanal.”
They shot in challenging conditions, and amid this, he remembered the leadership and professionalism of the show’s lead actor and director, Coco Martin.
It was that moment, and among the other experiences, that made the project special.
“Mga moment na ganun, ang sarap sa pakiramdam. Alam mong mahirap yung ginagawa mo pero nakakataba ng puso kapag na-appreciate ng madlang people,” he said.
Estrada praised Coco’s creative vision in developing scenes and expressed deep appreciation for the team behind the series. He also commended the directors and production staff for their professionalism, dedication, and strong teamwork throughout the years of production, noting how the group consistently maintained high standards.
Addressed to Coco, he expressed, “Co, alam mo kung gaano ka kamahal ni John. From the bottom of my heart gusto kong magpasalamat sa tiwalang binigay mo sa akin.”
