Malacañang Speaks on Pres. Bongbong Marcos after Recent Hospitalization
BONGBONG MARCOS – The doctors of the President advised him to slow down after he was diagnosed of diverticulitis a few days ago.
The President was recently hospitalized. It came after he experienced discomfort and he was brought to St. Luke’s Medical Center. According to Malacañang, Marcos Jr. was under medical observation for a night as requested by his doctors.

Meanwhile, Marcos Jr. has already returned to Malacañang Palace. Following his hospitalization, death hoax about the President circulated on social media and he personally junked the rumors.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos even told those who are eager to oust him not to be too excited. According to him, he was told by his doctors to rest but he stressed that there are a lot of things that need to be done. He was diagnosed with diverticulitis which he associated with stress and aging. Medically, the said health condition is characterized by the inflammation of the diverticula or the small pouches in the lining of the large intestine.

Recently, Malacañang spoke on the condition of Pres. Bongbong Marcos amid no public sightings of the Chief Executive since he was hospitalized. Based on a report on PhilStar, Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro claimed that the President is allegedly doing well but his doctors have advised him to slow down.

The Malacañang press official said the engagement of Marcos Jr. is currently limited to activities inside the Palace. According to her, it is probably a way of following his doctors’ advice to slow down.
“Private meetings muna pero maayos po ang kaniyang kalagayan. Ito ay isang paraan na maaring paguutos ng mga doktor na maghinay hinay muna ng kaunti,” Castro said.
Based on the report, following his recent hospitalization, Pres. Bongbong Marcos skipped at least two (2) public events — the awarding ceremony for The Outstanding Young Men in 2025 wherein he was represented by Executive Secretary Ralph Recto and the inauguration of the Laoag International Airport Passenger Terminal Building.
Presidential son and Ilocos Norte Congressman Sandro Marcos also delivered the speech of his father at the launching of the PBBM-Gabay ng Bayan Programs in Laoag City. Cong. Sandro Marcos even drew laughter among the crowd when he made a clarification over the speech of his dad.

Two impeachment complaints were filed against the President. Amid the issues, Cong. Sandro Marcos stepped back from participating in the House process over the impeachment complaints against PBBM.
