Netizen Feels Disappointed Over Unequal Ticketing by Traffic Enforcer
A male netizen was disappointed after being issued a ticket for no helmet and dress code violations, while other people with similar violations were reportedly ignored by the enforcer.
Recently, Scarllete Sky, a Facebook user, shared his frustration after being ticketed for no helmet and dress code violations while other violators were only given warnings. The post quickly went viral and drew reactions online.
The motorist admitted that he knew he had committed a violation and accepted responsibility for it. According to him, the enforcer even allowed him to choose which violation would be written on the ticket, and he chose the one with a lower penalty.
However, his disappointment began when he noticed that other riders who also did not have helmets were only warned and allowed to leave without receiving tickets. He questioned why he was singled out while others were given special treatment.
However, the situation changed when he raised his concern. The enforcer allegedly became angry, raised his voice, and accused him of being arrogant simply asking why the rules were not applied equally.
The netizen explained that he was not trying to escape his violation. What upset him was the feeling of unfairness and the belief that traffic rules should be enforced the same way for everyone.
The rider pointed out that if rules are implemented selectively, it weakens public trust and creates confusion among motorists.
He also mentioned that while he appreciated traffic enforcers doing their jobs, there should be professionalism and calm communication, especially when motorists ask reasonable questions. He believed that pointing out possible flaws in the system should not be taken as disrespect.
