Estonian Vlogger Arrested for Harassing Filipinos
An Estonian vlogger has been arrested and is now facing deportation after being accused of harassing Filipinos and making insulting remarks online.
Authorities said his actions crossed legal and social boundaries, leading to quick action from government agencies.
The foreign vlogger, who had been living in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, became controversial after posting videos that mocked Filipino men and showed disrespect toward local culture.

Many netizens were upset by the content, saying it promoted discrimination and humiliation instead of understanding and respect. His videos were widely shared, drawing strong reactions from the public.
Aside from the offensive remarks, the vlogger was also accused of harassing women and minors. Reports claimed that he took videos of children and women without their consent, raising serious concerns about privacy and safety.
These actions prompted local officials in Negros Oriental to declare him persona non grata, signaling that he was no longer welcome in the province.
The Bureau of Immigration later arrested him at his rented home in Dumaguete City. Officials confirmed that he violated provisions of the Philippine Immigration Act of 1940. As a result, authorities have started the process for his deportation, which will also include possible blacklisting to prevent his return to the country.
The vlogger, who is married to a Filipina and often featured her in his content, has since expressed regret and claimed that he did not intend to offend anyone. However, immigration officials stressed that the Philippines is not a playground for content creators who disrespect locals just to gain views and online attention.
The Bureau of Immigration reminded foreign visitors that while tourists are welcome, everyone must follow Philippine laws and show respect to Filipinos. Authorities also cited similar past cases where foreign vloggers were deported for making offensive content.
