The son of Anjo Yllana is part of this new project
Newbie actor Jaime Yllana reacted to the fiery statements of his father, actor Anjo Yllana, against the hosts of the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga.
To recall, Anjo attacked Senator Tito Sotto, who is one of the pioneer hosts of the noontime show. Anjo accused the senator of having a “kabit.” After that, he had statements against other Eat Bulaga hosts, Jose Manalo and Allan K. Because of this, Anjo received bashing, especially from the avid fans of the noontime show.
In a recent interview for Viva One’s upcoming series My Husband Is A Mafia Boss, in which Jaime is one of the cast members, he reacted to what his father had said in past statements, based on the article in PEP.
“Yung tatay ko kasi, at the end of the day, he’s my dad,” the newbie actor said, adding that in their house, Anjo Yllana is really a father figure, and Jaime saw what his father was going through.
“Alam ko naman, pasensiya po sa lahat, na may nagagawa siyang mali at naiintindihan ko naman na ganoon talaga,” Jaime said. However, he stressed that Jaime remained his father, and so, all he could do was to understand him and give him advice.
He said, “Wala, tatay ko siya. Mahal ko siya kaya kailangan kong intindihin na ganoon siya.” Whatever negative words his father has said, Jaime said that he is reminded that he is the son, and he would not be here if not for his father.
The young actor also shared that he never forgets to advise his father because they are like best friends. For him, even though they are celebrities, some things need to be kept private.
“Sinasabi ko lang sa kanya na, ‘Alam mo minsan sa buhay, kailangan i-keep private,” he shared, adding that not everything should be expressed publicly.
