Elderly Man Dies After Falling Into River Following a Night of Drinking in Quezon

According to a report from the Alabat Municipal Police Station, the victim, known as Bonifacio, was discovered around 8:00 a.m. on Monday (October 27, 2025), with his head submerged in the river near Sitio Sulok, Barangay Camagong.
Family members said he left home on Sunday evening to drink with his relatives but never returned. Worried about his safety, they began searching for him when he did not come home overnight.
Unfortunately, their search ended in heartbreak when his lifeless body was found the following morning.
One of his drinking companions told authorities that heavy rain poured during their gathering, prompting most of them to leave early. Bonifacio reportedly decided to stay behind and continued drinking for a while longer.
