Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Speaks on Marcos Jr. over Dad Rodrigo’s Arrest
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President claimed that she will not ask help from Pres. Bongbong Marcos over the International Criminal Court (ICC) interim release plea of her father.
Vice Pres. Duterte previously expressed that they already expect former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte to spend the Christmas holidays inside the ICC detention facility in The Hague, Netherlands. The former President is under the custody of the foreign court since March.

The elder Duterte was arrested by the Philippine authorities who assisted the International Criminal Police Organization or Interpol upon his arrival from Hong Kong last March 11. On the same day, he was flown to The Hague, Netherlands via Dubai.

In June, the camp of the former President applied for his interim release and the application was renewed in August. However, earlier this month, the ICC released its decision to junk the interim release plea of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte and even cited Vice Pres. Sara Duterte’s remarks as well as the criticisms of the Duterte family on their patriarch’s arrest.
Prior to it, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that a “third country” allegedly agreed to host the interim release of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. She stressed that her 80-year-old father allegedly needs a 24-hour caregiver to take care of him.

The younger Duterte also previously claimed that her father was allegedly found unconscious in the floor of his ICC detention room but they were supposedly not informed of the said “accident”. She also claimed that the Philippine officials was allegedly able to enter the ICC detention facility with the supposed disguise of conducting a “welfare check”.
After Davao City 1st District Congressman Paolo Duterte claimed that “Trililing” was allegedly sent for the “welfare check” of their father, former Senator Antonio Trillanes denied visiting and conducting a welfare check on former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte inside the ICC detention facility.
Amid the criticisms over the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte, Pres. Bongbong Marcos and the Palace stressed that the government only acted on its commitment with the Interpol. Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that she will not ask help from the President over her father’s interim release plea.

“Trabaho niya yun, eh. At trabaho niya yun in a sense na inaprubahan niya na hindi niya dapat ginawa bilang isang pangulo,” the Vice President said.
Based on the report, the camp of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte has filed an appeal of the ruling of the ICC on his interim release plea. Vice Pres. Sara Duterte remains mum on the country that is allegedly willing to host the interim release of her father.
Previously, following the decision of the ICC on the interim release bid of his father, Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte issued a warning for the arresters of his father.
