PAGASA Says LPA and Easterlies to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that a low-pressure area is being monitored outside PAR.
On Monday (October 13, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. A low-pressure area outside the Philippine area of responsibility is being monitored.
PAGASA weather specialist Daniel Villamil reported that a low-pressure area was last spotted 2,540 kilometers east of Southeastern Mindanao, has a slim chance of becoming a tropical depression.

“The LPA may enter our Philippine Area of Responsibility by Thursday or Friday. For at least four days, no significant impact from this weather system is expected,” Villamil said.
“So, malayo po ito sa ating bansa at walang direct ng efekto sa atin, at least for today and the next 2-3 days. At malit pa naman yung tsansa na maging bagyo within the next 24 hours. At para naman sa maging lagay ng ating panahon ngayong araw dito sa Luzon,” he added.
The easterlies will affect the eastern portions of Luzon and Visayas. It will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Isabela, Aurora, Rizal, and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.

The easterlies will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and the rest of Visayas.
The localized thunderstorms will bring generally fair weather, with chances of rainshowers and thunderstorms over the remaining parts of the country.
The weather agency advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The coastal water conditions across the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA.
