PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Monday (October 6, 2025)
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that ITCZ and Severe Tropical Storm Halong will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Monday (October 6, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The ITCZ and Severe Tropical Storm Halong will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA weather specialist Daniel Villamil reported that Intertropical Convergence Zone affecting Southern Mindanao will bring rains over some areas.

The ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Zamboanga Peninsula and BARMM.
“Because of the ITCZ, areas like the Zamboanga Peninsula and BARMM (Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao)—technically the southern part of Mindanao can expect a high chance of cloudiness today,” Villamil said.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies and isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

“Partly cloudy to cloudy skies don’t necessarily mean there won’t be any rain. The usual late afternoon to evening rain showers or thunderstorms may still occur,” Villamil said.
Meanwhile, the Severe Tropical Storm Halong outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility is being monitored. It was last spotted at 2,105 km east northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon.
Halong has maximum sustained winds of 100 kilometers per hour with gustiness of up to 125 kph.
“Less likely ito na pumasok ng ating Philippine Area of Responsibility… pero in the event na pumasok man ito ng PAR, ang ibibigay nating local name para sa bagyong ito ay Quedan,” he explained.
The weather agency advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The coastal water conditions across the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA.
