Vice Ganda Urges People To Join Protest, Other Celebs Take Stand Against Corruption

Vice Ganda and other celebrities take a stand against corruption.

Through her posts, Vice Ganda urges people to join the protest against corruption, and the sentiments of other celebrities about it.

After a series of congressional hearings that revealed corruption in flood control projects, many Filipinos united to demand accountability from those involved. There will be two main protests to be conducted in Metro Manila on Sunday, September 21, 2025: “Baha sa Luneta: Aksyon na Laban sa Korapsyon,” which will start at 9 AM at Rizal Park, and the “Trillion Peso March” will be held at the EDSA People Power Monument at 2 PM.

In several posts on social media, apart from being angered and vocal about this corruption, ABS-CBN superstar Vice Ganda also used her platform to encourage people to join the protest against it.

“Magkita kita tayo sa Luneta sa Linggo. Oras na para wakasan ang kagarapalan ng mga hayop na magnanakaw sa gobyerno,” said one of her posts. On the other ones, he urged the people to stand together and express their rage against thieving politicians.

As much as we all know, Vice always has strong opinions about corruption. In a previous article, she even spoke about skipping paying taxes, as there has been no evidence of improvement from the taxes of the people. She quipped, “Ninanakaw niyo pera namin eh! Wag niyo muna kaming pagbayarin hangga’t hindi naaayos.”

Other celebrities were also vocal and took their stand against corruption. Ogie Alcasid expressed that he will also join the protest, the same as Agot Isidro and Isabelle Daza. Kapuso star David Licauco also expressed that he is against this kind of stealing in the government.

Comedienne Tuesday Vargas also confirmed her presence in the protest and encouraged her fellow artists to join and use their influence and platform. She shared, “Panahon na para kumilos. Iparamdam natin ang ating hinaing at galit sa mga korap at magnanakaw. Artista ng bayan, manindigan, labanan ang korapsyon! We demand accountability!! Panagutin ang mga mandarambong.”
