ABS-CBN talent agency Star Magic has confirmed through a statement that celebrities Julia Barretto and Gerald Anderson have already separated. This has confirmed the rumors and speculations that have been lingering online in the past few months.
The last time people saw them together on social media was when they had a breakfast date for Julia’s birthday.
The rumors about them not being together anymore started when people online noticed that Julia had deleted the photos with Gerald from her Instagram page, and left only those that she had posted on his birthdays during the years they were still together.
Recently, in a statement, Star Magic has ended the rumors and confirmed that they have mutually decided to end their relationship. It said in the statement, “Star Magic confirms that Gerald Anderson and Julia Barretto have mutually decided to end their relationship.”
The agency also appealed to the public to refrain from spreading false stories and to respect the decision of the former couple, who are grateful to their fans and friends for their support.
Barretto and Anderson went public with their relationship in March 2021.
In 2019, the two were paired in the film Between Maybes. That same year, Gerald also made headlines due to his controversial breakup with actress Bea Alonzo, who revealed that he simply stopped communicating with her.
Both of them were open to talking about settling down with the actor, even saying in an interview that the actress was the one for him. According to him, everything that he was doing in his career and business is all leading up to the day they can finally settle down. He was just giving her more time to explore her career.
