Senate Hearing Links Sarah Discaya’s Car Dealer to Bugatti Smuggling Case
Senator Tito Sotto said that Sarah Discaya’s car dealer was involved in the smuggling of two Bugatti cars.
Recently, the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee held a hearing that brought to light a controversial issue involving luxury cars.
Senator Tito Sotto revealed that one of the car dealers connected to contractor and businesswoman Cezarah Rowena “Sarah” Discaya was previously involved in smuggling two Bugatti Chiron sports cars into the country.

During the hearing, Discaya admitted that she purchased some of her high-end cars from Frebel Enterprises and Auto Art. According to Senator Sotto, Frebel Enterprises had been charged by the Bureau of Customs (BOC) for bringing in undeclared luxury vehicles, including Mercedes-Benz and Porsche Boxster units, as well as the two Bugatti Chirons in 2024.
Discaya clarified that she does not own any Bugatti cars but acknowledged that she currently has 28 luxury vehicles under her name and company. It was fewer than the earlier reports claiming she owned 40.
The contractor explained that the previous figure included service vehicles used by her employees, which belong to the company fleet.
The discovery raises concerns about the entry of smuggled luxury cars into the country and the possible involvement of legitimate businesses in such schemes. Lawmakers are now closely looking into the matter to determine whether stricter monitoring and stronger penalties are needed to prevent similar cases in the future.
As of this writing, the investigation continues as the Senate seeks to discover the full extent of the alleged smuggling activities and the people involved. Authorities are expected to review all transactions connected to the car dealers mentioned to ensure accountability and transparency.
