Jeepney Driver & Passenger Princess Bring Good Vibes Online Over Fun Banter
A jeepney driver and a passenger princess delight the netizens with their funny banter, “Kuya, wag mo ‘kong papamigay.”
For many jeepney commuters in the Philippines, it’s not unusual to be “given away” to another jeep when the driver changes routes or has already reached his limit for the day. But one funny encounter between a passenger and a driver turned this everyday situation into an online hit.
On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, Marya Bernal, a TikTok user, shared a video of her playful exchange with a jeepney driver on her way to work at the National Children’s Hospital in Quezon City. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.

In the video, Bernal, who was the only passenger from Cubao, jokingly pleaded with the driver not to “give her away” to another jeep. The driver responded in an equally teasing manner, saying she was his only passenger and that he would take care of her.
“Hindi kita ibibigay, akin ka lang. Ako bahala sa’yo, Ma’am,” the driver said.
Bernal even offered to help call in passengers, while the driver busied himself switching signboards during the trip.

The passenger shared that the connection with the driver happened naturally. She said she randomly decided to record a TikTok video using the “who was interested first” trend, and after filming, they just continued chatting.
“Sinakay ako ni Kuya sa jeep no’n around Cubao and randomly nag-TikTok lang ako kasi gusto ko gawin yung “who was interested first” trend then ayun after no’ng TikTok ko na ‘yon nagchikahan lang kami ni kuya driver. Very social butterfly din siya kaya click lang for byahe convo with a stranger,” Bernal said.
Since both considered themselves outgoing, the conversation flowed easily during the ride.
