A lady netizen was disappointed because a different item arrived instead of the gift she ordered for her mother’s birthday.
Recently, ttriviajoon, a Reddit user, shared a photo of a silicone coaster she received instead of the bag she had ordered for her mother’s birthday. The post quickly went viral and received various reactions from the online community.
The concerned woman posted about her experience after ordering a bag worth P1,600 from Alberto’s Shopee Mall. The original price of the bag was P2,300, but she was able to use a voucher to lower the cost.
The customer had saved up for the bag as a special birthday gift for her mother. Since she lives in San Fernando, La Union, and her mother is in Ilocos Sur, she decided to have the gift delivered directly to her mother’s office.
Everything was already paid for online, and she made sure there was no cash on delivery to avoid any hassle.
The package arrived a day earlier than expected. Because it was addressed to her, her mother opened it out of curiosity. It was meant to be a surprise gift, so there was no unboxing video taken.
Later on, when the daughter checked the delivery photo, she noticed that the parcel looked smaller than expected. She immediately contacted her mother to ask about the size.
The bag she ordered was nowhere to be found. Instead, the package contained a silicone coaster. She admitted that not having an unboxing video might make it harder to file a complaint.
Still, she could not hide her sadness. Instead of bringing joy to her mother on her birthday, she felt like she had caused her inconvenience.
