Marjorie Barretto beamed with pride over her youngest daughter, Erich.
In an Instagram post, Marjorie Barretto shared how proud she is of her youngest, Erich, who was accepted at Oxford.
One of the most prestigious universities in the world, with a reputation built over hundreds of years, is Oxford. It is among the top universities globally, known for producing influential leaders, Nobel Prize winners, acclaimed authors, and groundbreaking research.
Being accepted to Oxford is surely something to be extremely proud of, and in an Instagram post, Marjorie Barretto was emotional as her youngest, Erich, was accepted to the said prestigious institution.
Erich is her youngest daughter, with politician Enrico “Recom” Echiverri. Erich was introduced to the public in 2018 through a post. Marjorie’s other children are Dani (with actor Kier Legaspi) and actress Julia, singer Claudia, and Leon (with comedian Dennis Padilla).
Recently, she gushed about her youngest being accepted to Oxford, and she feels nothing but pure bliss and pride. Her 13-year-old daughter was accepted for summer courses at the University of Oxford.
Erich applied and was accepted into the program on her own, choosing to study psychology. She admired her courage, the type that her dreams never reached, and added, describing her, “When she dreams, she goes out and gets them. We can only stand behind her with full support.”
While feeling proud, she admitted that she also feels anxious, as this also meant allowing her daughter to live independently abroad for the program. She found it hard to let go, but had to.
“Inside, my mommy heart was breaking… worried she might be too young to be on her own, but at the same time, overflowing with pride,” she expressed. But at 13, her daughter taught her the art of letting go and that no one is too old or too young to chase a dream.
