Elvis Gutierrez took to his personal Instagram to remember his wife, Alexa, who just celebrated her first birthday in heaven.
After months of battling against leukemia, Alexa Gutierrez succumbed, leaving her family heartbroken. Ruffa Gutierrez was heartbroken as she announced the death of her sister-in-law, and Elvis Gutierrez, one of the most heartbroken in this unfortunate event, couldn’t find the words to describe how painful it was to lose the person he thought he’d have a longer time with.
Alexa is survived by her husband, Elvis, and their two daughters. Aria is 9 years old, while Ezra is 7 years old. During the eulogy speech of Elvis, he admitted losing faith while they battled with leukemia. But his wife was his reminder not to lose his faith. She was the one to remind him to be strong.
On July 1, Alexa celebrated her first birthday in heaven, and on Instagram, Elvis shared an emotional post.
He expressed how daunting to think that they will never ever have another way to have her again with them, but the love she left them was enough to last them in this lifetime. Elvis wrote, “Its a daunting feeling knowing that our lives will never be the same again without you, but you left us with a kind of love that will last our whole lifetime.”
He is celebrating her every day and looks forward to the day they will see each other again.
Ruffa Gutierrez also remembered Alexa on her birthday, and according to her, she was writing the caption in tears because she misses him already, and because of the pain in the realization that they can no longer be with them.
