PAGASA Says 2 Weather Systems to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that easterlies and ITCZ will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Wednesday (June 18, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Two weather systems will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA Weather Specialist Benison Estareja reported that Isolated rains will continue to dampen parts of the country due to the easterlies and the Intertropical Convergence Zone.

The ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao Occidental, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, and Tawi-Tawi.
The easterlies will bring similar weather conditions over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Benguet, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Pangasinan, Oriental Mindoro, and Marinduque.
“Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao Occidental, down to Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, and Tawi-Tawi will receive the most rain for the rest of the day,” Etareja said.

The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the rest of Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan Valley.
Similar weather conditions are expected in the remaining parts of the country due to the easterlies.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times severe thunderstorms.
“So please also be cautious of possible flooding and landslides,” he added.
No tropical cyclones or low-pressure areas are being monitored within or near the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition throughout the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA.
