The incident wasn’t a planned crime. The suspects simply saw the unattended motorcycle with the key left behind and took the chance. With the help of CCTV footage, police identified the two men who took the motorcycle.

Hindi naman modus, kasi nagkaroon ng opportunity kasi nakita niya, ‘yung motor na may susi, naiwanan ng victim,” said Martelino.

The suspects were quickly caught. The authorities revealed that both are members of a known group called the Commando Gang. The stolen motor vehicle was recovered from them. They are now facing charges for violating Republic Act 10883, also known as the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016.

The police remind everyone to always double-check their vehicles before leaving. Make sure to park in a safe place and never leave the keys behind. This simple mistake made it easy for the suspects to commit the crime.

Yung mga motor natin siguraduhin nating nakaparada sa safe na lugar,” Martelino added.

Staying alert and careful can help prevent theft and other unwanted situations.

The motorcycle was returned, and the suspects were put behind bars with the help of fast police action and the help of security cameras.
