Camp of Former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte Confirms Discussing about his Oath-Taking Options
RODRIGO DUTERTE – The former President’s victory as mayor of Davao City is already expected after garnering huge votes in the initial tally.
Former Pres. Duterte is a candidate for mayor in Davao City with Baste Duterte, the outgoing mayor of the town, as his running mate. However, the former President was arrested last March 11 by the Philippine authorities and was sent to The Hague, Netherlands.

The elder Duterte is faced with an accusation of crimes against humanity before the International Criminal Court (ICC). He is currently detained in The Hague and the confirmation of the charges against him is set on September 23.

Amid his detention, former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte requested his children to campaign fervently for the PDP-Laban candidates. The former President is the chairman of the political party. Here are the PDP-Laban bets or the #Duter10:

Amid the ongoing counting of votes, the initial tally on the mayoralty race in Davao City showed former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte earning a huge part of the counted votes. Based on a report on Inquirer, Duterte garnered 619,899 votes after 74% of the election returns were transmitted. He was followed by former Civil Service Commission Chair Karlo Nograles with 76,349 votes.

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte joined the local campaign sorties and endorsed the PDP-Laban candidates as well as the senatorial bids of Senator Imee Marcos and Las Piñas district representative Imee Marcos. Her youngest sister, Kitty, also joined the campaign sorties in Davao to endorse the #Duter10.
Amid the looming victory of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte previously confirmed that she has previously talked with the ICC and the Philippine lawyers of the former President over their options for his oath-taking. According to her, they have until the noon of June 30 for his oath-taking.
Previously, at a campaign sorties, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that the Filipinos are now allegedly paying the price for choosing the “wrong leader”.
