Sara Duterte Says Filipinos Now Paying the Price for “Choosing the Wrong Leader”

SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President claimed that the Filipinos are now allegedly paying the price for “choosing the wrong leader”.

The Duterte siblings fervently campaigned for former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s PDP-Laban candidates. Vice Pres. Duterte has attended several campaign sorties to endorse the #Duter10 as well as her own senatorial bets aside from the PDP-Laban candidates.

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte endorses Senator Imee Marcos, Las Piñas Representative Camille Villar, and the PDP-Laban bets in the 2025 Elections. According to her, her senatorial slate share a common vision of a peaceful and prosperous country.

Recently, in her final pitch for the senatorial candidates of the PDP-Laban, the Vice President seemingly aired accusations against the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago led by Pres. Bongbong Marcos. The grand alliance endorses 11 senatorial bets in the upcoming elections.

Sen. Imee Marcos was part of the Alyansa. Following the controversial arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, she skipped the campaign sorties of the grand alliance and eventually exited the team. She stressed that she could not accept what was done to Duterte.

Based on a report on PhilStar, at the miting de avance of the PDP-Laban, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that there are talks about the alleged probable manipulation of the election results by a group called the “alyansa”.

At the campaign event, the Vice President also claimed that the “alyansa” would allegedly be ready to bring the Filipinos “back to the darkness”. Based on the report, without naming names, Duterte said the voters “unfortunately chose a leader who doesn’t have the capability to understand the real situation of Filipinos”.

Furthermore, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that the Filipinos are now suffering the consequences of choosing the wrong leader. She also issued hints on who she is referring to.

“We are now paying the price for choosing the wrong leader. We can see the shameless violation of our Constitution. We are being led by a person who still refuses to undergo a public hair follicle drug test and lies about the P20 rice,” she said.

Vice Pres. Duterte called on the Filipinos to vote with dignity this coming May 12 Elections. She called on the people to show to the world that not amount of vote buying or cheating can suppress the “fury burning in our hearts”.

The BBM-Sara was a victorious tandem in the 2022 Elections. Amid their soured relationship, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte called on the Filipinos not to vote for the candidates of Pres. Bongbong Marcos.
