BINI ISSUE – Here are the respective statements of GAT’s Ethan David and internet personality Shawn Castro.

Fans were dismayed over BINI members Jhoanna Robles, Colet Vergara, and Stacey Sevilleja. This is after a controversial video of them with GAT’s Ethan David and internet personality Shawn Castro, in a conversation about a sensitive topic, emerged online.

In a previous article, the group BINI released an official statement regarding the issue where three of the eight members were involved.

Shortly after came the respective statements of David and Castro.

GAT’s Ethan David, an artist under the Viva Artist Agency, acknowledged the video in which he was seen doing inappropriate gestures with another person as a joke while laughing. He took full responsibility for what had occurred.

He also expressed his sincere apology for the gestures he made, which he admitted to be offensive. He apologized to those who got hurt and disappointed and expressed that he respects women in all forms. According to him, what was in the video did not reflect his life principles, and he vowed that it would never happen again.

He also promised to improve himself by learning from this incident.

Castro, in an Instagram story, also reached out to the people and apologized. According to him, no one was hurt in any manner, and the video was taken out of context. He admitted their fault and explained that they had just become too comfortable and gotten carried away by the moment.

“Hindi po magandang biro yun, especially sa kung pano siya nakita sa nasabing video,” he wrote and added that they take full accountability and responsibility for everything.
