BINI ISSUE – Here’s The Official Statement Following The Leaked Video

Regarding the issue of the BINI PH, an official statement has been released.

BINI ISSUE – Here’s the official statement from the nation’s girl group after their controversial video leaked and sparked hate online.

One of the most famous and most successful girl groups in the country, as of this writing, is BINI. This group is composed of eight members, namely Aiah, Mikha, Gwen, Sheena, Maloi, Colet, Stacey, and Jhoanna.

However, in a previous article, three of them were caught in a controversy because of a leaked video where BINIs Colet, Stacey, and Jhoanna are involved. In the clip circulating online, Ethan David from the Ppop boy group GAT and social media personality/dancer Shawn Castro were doing an act in front of Jhoanna. The latter was sitting on a sofa and seemed unaffected by the act being done in front of her by the two boys.

The conversation as heard was:

Stacey: Ganiyan ginagawa niya kay ashley (?)
Colet: Oo. 13 years old.
Stacey: Sinasabunutan.
Jhoanna: Ahhh 13 years old

While others defended them, others did not. A lot of people online can’t seem to fathom how their conversation went, which was about grooming and the malicious deed involving a minor. Fans were mostly disappointed seeing their idols laugh and play along with the “joke.”

They find it hard to justify the BINIs who promote women’s empowerment but, at the same time, laugh at the joke about a female minor with an inappropriate topic.

Did the success they worked hard for years for just burn down right before their eyes because of a short clip that became extremely viral?

Recently, a statement was released, and they admitted their mistake. It was, accordingly, a private moment with their friends, but in the process, they never had the intention to hurt anyone. They take full accountability for the actions, reactions, and choice of words that occurred.

“We deeply regret our mistake and sincerely apologize to our Blooms, friends, families, and the general public,” the statement read, and added, “We humbly ask for a chance to reflect on and learn from our mistakes and continue to work on becoming better versions of ourselves.”
