Sara Duterte on Bongbong Marcos’ Bets: “Do not vote for his candidates”

SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President called on the public not to vote for the candidates supported by Pres. Bongbong Marcos.

Countless people were shocked when the once united Pres. Marcos and Vice Pres. Duterte went separate ways in the political arena. Previously, the Vice President claimed that her decision to leave the Department of Education (DepEd) includes both personal and work reasons.

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte also claimed that her friend if Sen. Imee Marcos and recently reaffirmed their friendship amid the political turmoil in the government following her father’s arrest. She also endorses the Senator in her bid for reelection.

Sen. Imee Marcos also previously expressed regret in convincing Vice Pres. Duterte to run with her brother, now Pres. Bongbong Marcos. According to her, she did not know then that this will happen.

Following the controversial arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte that led to his detention in the International Criminal Court, Sen. Imee Marcos opened a Senate investigation over Duterte’s arrest. She also left the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago endorsed by Pres. Bongbong Marcos.

According to the Senator, the principles and ideas she believe in do not align with the recent actions of the government over Duterte’s arrest. The following are the senatorial bets of Marcos’ Alyansa:

Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte called on the public not to vote for the candidates of Pres. Bongbong Marcos. Based on a report on PhilStar, the Vice President claimed that the bets of Marcos Jr. allegedly supports not keeping a promise.

“Do not vote for his candidates. Because his candidates are telling him it’s OK to lie, it’s OK not to keep your promises to the people,” Duterte said.

At a campaign sortie in Tondo, the Vice President did not only endorse Sen. Imee Marcos. Vice Pres. Sara Duterte also hinted at running for president.
