Malacañang Speaks on Pres. Bongbong Marcos amid Decline in Trust and Performance Rating
BONGBONG MARCOS – The Palace claimed that the President is not bothered by the results of the surveys as he is determined to do what is right and legal.
The arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte has divided the once united supporters of the Dutertes and the Marcoses. The unexpected turn of events last March 11 also earned Pres. Marcos a lot of bashing and criticisms.

Following the bashing, it was found by the latest Pulse Asia survey that the trust and performance rating of Pres. Bongbong Marcos has dropped and Malacañang blamed it to “fake news”. The rating of the President declined by 17 percentage points from 42% in February to 25% in March.
Furthermore, the latest survey of the Pulse Asia also found a rise in the disapproval rating of Marcos Jr. It rose by 21 percentage points to 53%. Amid the negative results for the president, he remains focused on his job according to Malacañang.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Malacañang Press Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro claimed that Pres. Bongbong Marcos is not bothered by the results of the survey. She stressed that whether it is high or low, the Chief Executive will do what is right and legal.
“Ang Pangulo kahit anuman ang rating, mataas, mababa, magpapatuloy sya sa kanyang trabaho, hindi sya mapapahinto ng anumang survey. Basta ang gagawin ng Pangulo ay gumawa ng naaayon sa batas at gumawa ng tama,” the Palace press officer said.

Based on the report, Castro emphasized that it is important to know where the 2,400 respondents of the survey are coming from. She stressed that the result does not reflect the sentiments of more than 100 million Filipinos. She also claimed that their opinion may have been influenced by fake news.
“Ang mga respondents ba na mga ito ay hindi nakakarating ang mga tulong ng gobyerno? So dapat din nating malaman sa parte ng administrasyon,” Castro said.
Previously, amid former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s detention in The Hague, Malacañang reacted to Duterte’s partner, Honeylet Avanceña, congratulating the Philippines over the crimes in the country.
