Ellen Adarna revealed that her grandmother was a “hoarder”
Cebuana celebrity Ellen Adarna shared the story behind the Temple of Leah, which was built for her grandmother.
The said structure is one of the famous tourist attractions in Cebu, the home province of Ellen. This has earned the moniker “the Philippines’ version of Taj Mahal.”
Stories stated that Ellen’s grandfather built this structure for her grandmother. The temple exuded wealth and extravagance.

In a recent interview on the online talk show Kuan on One, hosted by Kapamilya comedian-host Melai Cantiveros, Ellen Adarna shared that she was really close to her grandmother.
As the only girl among her four siblings, Leah took care of Ellen when she was young. The celebrity even shared that her grandmother was fond of taking photos of her, which irritated her back then.
Ellen also jokingly said that being “mataray” and strong-willed were the traits she inherited from her grandmother. During her “rebelde” era against her father, she admitted that she would run to her grandmother.
At one point in the interview, Ellen was asked why the Temple of Leah was built. She started by saying that her grandmother was a “hoarder,” and the structure was not originally a tourist spot.

The Cebuana celebrity shared that Leah owned a lot of things, and she would tell her family that she would haunt them if they ever sold her things.
With this, Ellen’s grandfather just decided to build a structure in their land in Busay as a “storage” area for her grandmother’s belongings. Since the architectural design of the building was beautiful, people started visiting the area and taking pictures.
With this kind of response from the public, they decided to turn this into a business. Ellen Adarna jokingly said that this is the reason why she has a high standard when it comes to men, because her grandfather built a temple for her grandmother.
