Amid the Issues, Leon Barretto Tells Sister Claudia To Continue Protecting her Peace and Joy
LEON BARRETTO – The only son of Marjorie Barretto penned a heartfelt message for his sister, Claudia, and brother-in-law, Basti, on their wedding.
Claudia Barretto and Basti Lorenzo had a intimate church wedding at St. James The Great Church in Muntinlupa. After the ceremony, they proceeded at the Lakehall at Nena’s Sanctuary, an events venue located in Sta. Elena Golf and Country Estate, Santa Rosa, Laguna, where the reception was held.
Claudia is the second daughter of Marjorie Barretto and actor-comedian Dennis Padilla. Basti Lorenzo who is now the husband of Claudia Barretto after 10 long years of being in a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship is one of the 12 children of Martin Ignacio Lorenzo, the former owner of Pancake House. He also used to run Del Monte Philippines.
Basti is the younger brother of Mateo Lorenzo, the husband of actress Erich Gonzales. At his wedding with Claudia, Dennis Padilla was also there but he was allegedly treated as a “visitor” and not as father of the bride.
The claim of Dennis earned different reactions from the netizens. There were those who sympathized with him and bashed his children while there are also those who showed support on the part of the Barretto siblings.
Amid the issues surrounding the wedding of Claudia and Basti, the only son of Marjorie and Dennis, Leon Barretto, took to social media a heartfelt message for his sister. According to him, he could not believe that his “Claui” just got married. He recalled their fond times growing up and the lessons that she taught him.
According to him, they easily got into a fight against each other when they were younger but they grew to become each other’s go-to person. He expressed his gratitude for how close they have become and stressed that she taught him how to talk to girls properly, respect the people around him, and be a better man.
Leon Barretto also stated in his Instagram post that aside from Claudia, her now husband, Basti, also watched him growing up and witnessed every phase of his life over the past 10 years. He stressed that the couple has a rare kind of love — “the one that stayed strong through adversity”.
According to Leon, although he knows that there is now someone who will look after his sister, he will never let her go through life’s challenges alone and he is and will always be her biggest supporter and protector.

Previously, amid the issue, Dennis Padilla claimed that he no longer sees reconciliation with his children with Marjorie Barretto. According to him, he is tired and he will stop reaching out to them.
