On Wednesday night, Duterte arrived at The Hague, and minutes later, after his arrival, he went under the custody of the ICC. The family of the former president was devastated over his arrest.

In a previous article, Honeylet Avancena, partner of the former president, allegedly assaulted a female officer with a cell phone. The officer is Special Action Force (SAF) personnel, according to PNP Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo.

The police officer sustained an injury to the head and plans to file a case. When asked what case, the spokesperson revealed direct assault, and they are yet to disclose when this would happen. Avanceña was with Duterte when he was held in Villamor Air Base at that time, and the tension and emotions were high.

“Ang may nasaktan po ay doon sa side ng PNP. Meron po tayong mga videos na magpapatunay na pinukpok po ni Ms. Honeylet yung isang pulis po natin na babae,” Fajardo said. The injury was so bad that the police officer had to be taken to a hospital.

They already reached out through Duterte’s former chief presidential legal counsel, Atty. Salvador Panelo, but they are yet to provide a comment as of this posting.

Apart from Avancena, their daughter Kitty Duterte also became violent. Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) chief Police Major General Nicolas Torre III revealed that he had also experienced ”harassment” from Avanceña and being cursed by their daughter.
