Malacañang Speaks on Pres. Bongbong Marcos’ Order over PAF Fighter Jet Mishap
BONGBONG MARCOS – Malacañang said the President wants an “immediate investigation” over the FA-50 fighter jet crash in the mountains of Bukidnon.
Early Tuesday, it was confirmed by the Philippine Air Force that one of its fighter jets went missing during a Tactical Night Operation exercise. Several aircrafts participated in the tactical operations in the support of ground troops.

According to the Philippine Air Force, the missing Air Force fighter jet lost communication with the rest of the aircrafts involved in the Tactical Night Operation exercise a few minutes before their reached their target area. The missing fighter jet is an FA-50 that was manufactured by Korea Aerospace Industries in partnership with Lockheed Martin.
The PAF said that the other aircrafts that participated in the Tactical Night Operation exercise repeatedly attempted to re-establish contact with the missing aircraft” until their return to Mactan, Cebu but to no avail.

The Philippine Air Force said it exerted all the resources available to find the missing FA-50. It stressed their main goal which was the safety of the crew aboard the aircraft. However, the following day, wreckage of the missing fighter jet was found.
The search operations found the wreckage of the missing Philippine Air Force fighter jet and its crew. The bodies of two (2) pilots were found in the site near the wreckage of the aircraft.
The aircraft was found in Mount Kalatungan, Bukidnon province. Mount Kalatungan is the fifth tallest mountain in the country. Recently, Malacañang spoke on the side of Pres. Bongbong Marcos regarding the crashed fighter jet of the PAF.

Based on a report on GMA News, during a press briefing, Malacañang press officer Undersecretary Attorney Claire Castro said that Pres. Bongbong Marcos wants an immediate investigation of the crashed FA-50 fighter jet.
”Agarang imbestigasyon din po ang inutos ng ating Pangulo diyan,” he said.
A pilot of the crashed Air Force fighter jet FA-50 was set for a wedding with his fiancée this March. His fiancée is also under the PAF and their pre-nup photos hooked the attention of the online community.
