ROBBERY – Three suspects were arrested by the police authorities after robbing a restaurant in Barangay San Isidro, Parañaque City.

In the early hours of Wednesday (February 26, 2025), according to the police, the suspects pretended to be customers before announcing the hold-up.

Arriving on two motorcycles, the men entered the restaurant and immediately declared a robbery. They took P13,000 in cash and a cellphone before fleeing on their motorcycles.

“Dalawang motorsiklo po, lulan po ang tatlong kalalakihan, bumaba po sa tapat ng isang restaurant at right then and there, nag-declare po sila ng robbery hold-up doon sa mga tao na nasa loob ng restaurant,” Parañaque City Police Station Police Lt.Col Eric Angustia said.

Following the incident, the restaurant staff immediately contacted the police. Authorities quickly responded, launching an investigation using CCTV footage to track down the suspects.

Through backtracking, they identified the motorcycles used in the crime and conducted a follow-up operation.

The first two suspects, aged 26 and 24, were arrested in Barangay La Huerta. Their capture led the police to the alleged mastermind, a 32-year-old man, who was found hiding in a vacant lot in Barangay Baclaran.

During the arrest, authorities seized a .22 caliber firearm, a hand grenade, two pen guns, four 9mm bullets, and three additional .22 caliber bullets. They also confiscated the black motorcycle used in the robbery.

None of the firearms, explosives, or the motorcycle had proper documentation. Although the stolen cash and cellphone were not recovered, police confirmed that the suspects had a reputation for causing trouble in their area.

The three men are now in police custody and will face charges for robbery, illegal possession of firearms and explosives, and violations of the election gun ban. The police advise business owners to install CCTV cameras for security and to report similar incidents immediately for a quick action.
