Barbie Imperial Surprises Fans w/ Sweet Story About Annabelle Rama
BARBIE IMPERIAL – Despite rumors of tension, Barbie Imperial shares a heartwarming story about how Annabelle Rama treats her during family gatherings.
Actress Barbie Imperial proudly shared the current status of her relationship with Annabelle Rama, the mother of her boyfriend Richard Gutierrez.
Barbie appeared as a guest on Ogie Diaz’s vlog, “Ogie Diaz Inspires,” where she was immediately asked about how things are between her and Annabelle. The curiosity comes amid playful remarks from netizens joking about a supposed “Barbie versus Annabelle,” noting the coincidental similarity of their names to famous dolls.
During the interview, Ogie also brought up Barbie’s surprise birthday party for Richard, which was attended by the actor’s family. The gathering seemingly reflected how comfortable Barbie already is with Richard’s loved ones.
Barbie described Annabelle as “sweet” and “maalaga,” even sharing that Richard’s mom often sets aside food for her during gatherings.
“Sobrang sweet po ni Tita Annabelle sa akin saka sobra pong maalaga, parang every time po na may gatherings, pinagtatabi po niya ako ng mga ulam, tapos inuuwi ko, ang sasarap pa naman ng mga inoorder ni Tita Annabelle,” said Barbie.
She added that there are also times when Annabelle sends her food.
“Okay po kami, as in okay po kami ni Tita Annabelle,” said Barbie.
However, Barbie admitted that at the beginning of her relationship with Richard, she had concerns about how Annabelle would treat her. The veteran talent manager is known for being protective of her children.
“Actually po, ‘yon ‘yong pinakaunang concern, sorry po Tita,” Barbie admitted with a laugh.
“Iyon din po talaga honestly ‘yong pinakaunang concern, medyo natakot po ako, pero Tito [Ogie] sa totoo lang po, parang kung sino pa ‘yong ‘maldita’ ‘yong impression ng mga tao, parang siya pa po ‘yong sobrang pinaka-warm sa lahat ng naging mom ng mga naging boyfriend ko po,” said Barbie.
She admitted that she still feels a bit intimidated at times, but emphasized how thoughtful Annabelle has been.
“Pero at the same time, palagi pa ring may ano… natatakot pa rin talaga ako sa kaniya, pero si Tita parang palagi niya akong inaalala, kung kumain na ‘ko, ganito-ganiyan, mangungumusta, minsan may mga phone call siyang ginagawa, tinutulungan niya ‘ko sa career ko, mga gano’n,” she said.
Grateful for the warm treatment, Barbie explained that Annabelle’s protectiveness stems from being a mother.
“Feeling ko kapag hindi ka niya gusto o may nagawa ka po sa mga anak niya, katulad ng ibang magulang, na poprotektahan ‘yong anak, but ‘yong kay Tita naman scary talaga, pero feeling ko naman katulad ng ibang mga magulang, na kapag nasasaktan po ‘yong anak nila, nandiyan talaga sila to defend,” explained Barbie.
“So ngayon, panatag na loob mo kay Tita Annabelle?” Ogie asked.
“Panatag naman po,” the actress replied with a laugh.
Barbie also shared that she feels Annabelle knows they are both strong personalities, so perhaps they are still gauging each other. After all, they both love Richard and would not want to clash, knowing he would be caught in the middle.
It can be recalled that the couple recently confirmed the speculations surrounding their relationship.
