PAGASA Says 2 Weather Systems to Affect PH Weather Condition

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy to rainy weather over parts of the country.

On Saturday (January 4, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Two weather systems will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA weather specialist Rhea Torres reported that shear line will bring cloudy skies, scattered rain showers, and isolated thunderstorms over Central Luzon, Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and parts of Cagayan Valley except Batanes.

PAGASA

The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains over Batanes.

Asahan po natin dito sa may Batanes ang light to moderate na mga pag-ulan dulot po ng epekto ng northeast monsoon o hanging amihan,” she explained.

However, fair weather conditions are expected over Metro Manila and the rest of the country as localized thunderstorms prevail.

The weather agency has warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over extreme Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Central Luzon will be moderate to rough. Slight to moderate waters are expected over the rest of the country, according to PAGASA.
